His background starts with the degree in Visual Arts in several areas such as ceramics, stained-glass and sculpting. He was part of many collective exhibitions at a national and international level. He also exhibited his works individually an numerous occasions including urban installations. The work he has been performing in the feature film industry for over 20 years and has provided him with a broad experience in different areas of this industry. He has also worked in video clips, design, staging concerts and in architecture.
He was Director, Art Director and Set Designer of the following films: "Asesinato en el Senado de la Nación" (Murder in the House of Senate) by J. J. Jusid (Argentina). "El Exilio de Gardel" (Gardel's Exile) by F. Solanas (Argentina-France), "Lonely in America" by Barry Brown (US). "No Place to Hide" by Robert Young (UK-Argentina) and 1000 Boomerangs by Mariano Galperin (Argentina).
Eduardo Capilla directed and produced the feature film "+ bien" released in 2001.
He produced and directed several video clips for renowned artists and bands: "Vuelta por el Universo" (Around the Universe) for Cerati & Melero. "No necesito verte" (I don't need to see you) for Soda Stereo. "Zoom" for the same band. "Rara" (Strange) for Juana Molina and more. He was in charge of the staging of Gustavo Cerati's tours and concerts, like the work he did for "Bocanada", and for other bands such as Los Caimanes (Mexico) and Los Encargados.
In 2005 Eduardo initiates a new stage directing for Películas Cortitas.
