Julián Fernández worked as an art director for well known local advertising agencies such as Young & Rubicam and CraveroLanis; worldwidely, he did it for McCann México and Leo Burnet México among others.

He took a fiction course taught by the famous film director Todd Solondsz (Happiness - Storytelling - Welcome to the Dollhouse - Palinfromes).

In 2007 Julián starts directing advertising spots at Películas Cortitas.

In 2009 he wins the 'Diente de Plata' award in the emerging talent category.
