Ulises Rosell was born in Buenos Aires in 1970. He graduated from "Universidad del cine" in 1995. In that same year he released a short film named "Dónde y cómo Oliveira perdió a Achala"; this footage was part of the feature film "Historias breves".
In 1996 Ulises, Pablo Trapero and Andrés Tamborino established "Cinematografía Sargentina" and independent film production company. They released films such as "Pizza, Birra, Faso.", "Mundo Grúa", among others.
In 2001, the movie "El descanso" was released (Co directed by Ulises, Moreno and Tamborino) The film won many awars such as the BAFICI award for best Argentinian Film and the Montreal Festival award for best film.
In 2003, he released "Bonanza", this documentary was honored with the Mannheim award for best documentary. Choral Documentary at Habana Film Festival to be part of a writing workshop organized by Résidence.
In 2006, Ulises directed the motion picture "Sofacama", featuring Cecilia Roth, Martin Piroyansky y Maria Fernanda Callejón.
In 2007, he directed "9mm - Crímenes a la medida de la Historia" a serial of 3 TV episodes featuring Dolores Fonzi, Valentina Bassi, Nazareno Casero, Nahuel Perez Bizcayart, Adrián Facha Martek, etc.
Nowadays, he is directing a documentary about argentinian musicians named "Pequeños universos" and begins a new stage starting to direct advertising spots at Películas Cortitas.
